Complete Description:
SAP systems are being rolled out at Kraft. The Usability Services group at Kraft is tasked with implementing 4 key strategies:
1. Identify opportunities for consistency of configuration across SAP modules and work with configurers to make that happen;
2. Investigate personalization through creation of roles to make the user interface more user friendly and efficient, and work with SAP systems personnel to implement;
3. Identify target areas for training and increased change management focus through usability testing, field studies, and/or heuristic evaluation, and work in conjunction with the Training and CM groups to implement recommendations;
4. Build strategic partnerships with SAP (the company) so both Kraft and SAP can benefit from Usability-related work.
The resource will work very closely with Kraft Usability expert on this project initially (3+ months). Kraft Usability expert and has been in the role for 7 years. Together, the SAP Usability resource and Kraft Usability expert will work to implement the 4 strategies above by doing the tasks below.
Kraft Usability expert can carry more of the load on the #3 strategy above, but the SAP Usability Resource must be able to understand Usability principles and champion it.
Specific tasks will include:
1. Training the Kraft Usability Expert on SAP (specificially ECC) concepts and capabilities. A deep dive into each module is not required but must be the Kraft Usability expert has to walk away clearly understanding configuration capabilities and how the moduels fit together.
2. Working with Kraft Usability Expert and internal Kraft resources to codify Best Practices for consistent configuration across modules and developing guidelines for personalization. Develop guidelines for personalization through creation of roles and establishing Favorites for user roles.
3. Training internal Kraft resources on those Best Practices and Guidelines.
4. Assisting with or conducting usability tests, evaluations, and field studies to understand trouble areas for users in using SAP software and writing recommendations for improvement.
5. Make recommendations for targeted training and change management processes
6. Provide Usability services, which may include:
• Field studies, including project management, user analysis, task analysis, workflow analysis, contextual analysis, usage patterns, analysis of results and preparation of a report with findings and recommendations
• Consulting for information architecture and site design, including analysis and preparation of a report with recommendations
• Provide usability testing, including project management, preparation, conducting the test, evaluating results, and providing recommendations in report format
• Conduct thorough research on special subjects, analyze findings and make recommendations in the form of whitepapers.
Required Skills:
SAP Usability Consultant should have a strong knowledge base in the mySAP ECC core. ECC 6.0 is required; ECC 5.0 and SAP R/3 are a plus. SAP Usability Consultant should also have strong user-centered design/usability expertise.
Candidate must also possess excellent Client Relationship Management skills. Client Relationship Management is key for this position, as the Usability group has a high level of client interaction. Ability to effectively manage client relationships in a professional manner is required.
